Congratulations to Mr. Sangwoo Ha (and of course to his PhD thesis supervisor Dr. Andrey Sukhorukov) from Nonlinear Physics Centre of CUDOS@ANU who won one of the Outstanding Student Presentation Awards at the Frontiers in Optics 2008 conference of the Optical Society of America for his talk "Observation of Slow Light Tunneling in Coupled Periodic Waveguides".
The OSA announced 14 winners (and only 2 from non-US Universities) selected from more than 200 students participated. The results presented by Sangwoo were also selected as one of the monthly Research Highlight of the Nature Photonics in September 2008. |
