Centre for Ultrahigh bandwidth Devices for Optical Systems
CUDOS brings together a powerful team of Australian and International researchers in optical science and photonics technology, our efforts will lead to significant advancement in the capabilities and knowledge in this crucial field.
Dr Andrea Blanco-Redondo, The University of Sydney
Dr Bryn Bell, The University of Sydney
Dr Shaghik Atakaramians, The University of Sydney
Objective
Currently many individual components of future quantum-enhanced computers and networks exist, yet they are typically investigated in isolation. This two-day mini-conference will bring together national and international scientists acitively researching devices that create, store, manipulate, or detect photons, to examine the bigger picture of how to connect them achieve significant breakthroughs.
Format
Spread over two days, each session will contain an invited talk and conclude with a panel discussion. This format will ensure that non-experts and experts alike can both learn from and contribute to the discussion. Specific topics will include integrated photonics, satellite-based quantum communication, photonic quantum computation/simulation, photon state translation, and quantum memories. A catered poster session will provide ample opportunity for networking and additional discussion.
CUDOS reserves the right to cancel a workshop. Should this occur, we will attempt to notify you as far ahead of time as possible. CUDOS will not be liable for any loss or damages arising from any cancellation.
