This workshop will review the status of the international integrated photonics industry, particularly Silicon Photonics and other CMOS compatible technologies, highlighting the current drivers for industry and stimulating discussion on the future challenges and opportunities that are expected for integrated photonic science, technology and industry.
The workshop will also highlight how Australian researchers can access photonic integration technologies both nationally and internationally. The 2nd day of the workshop will provide hands on tutorial introducing the IPKISS design framework through which researchers can design photonic chips which can be made using multi-project foundry services.
